The trillion dollar question is what will happen to you when you die?

The moment in time that changed my life forever, in the best way possible happened on May 1^st, 2013. It was at that time that I found and surrendered my life to God. That morning at work, a co-worker friend of mine who is a Christian, shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with me.

I believe the reason I listened to him was that I must have been concerned about going to Hell when I died. Before he had explained the gospel to me, I had professed to be a Christian, and thought I would go to Heaven when I die. I had always thought I was a good enough person.   The Bible says in Romans 3:10 No one is righteous not even one. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. If you have lied about anything it makes you a liar. If you have stolen anything it makes you a thief. If you have ever lusted for another man or woman, the bible says you’re just as guilty of committing the physical act of Adultery. Matthew 5:28 Anyone who looks at another woman to lust after her has already committed Adultery with her in his heart. If you have ever hated someone the bible says you’re just as guilty of committing the physical act of murder. 1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. We are all descendants of Adam and are born into this world as sinners and are guilty of breaking the 10 commandments God’s law and deserving of Hell upon death. But the good news is that Jesus Christ died and shed his blood on the cross for the forgiveness of sins for the whole world, was buried, and raised from the dead 3 days later for our salvation.  John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life .  God loves you no matter what you have done, so much so, that he took on the form of a human being Jesus Christ to feel what we feel , and to go through what he have gone through in a human body, but lived a sinless life. All our sin was placed on the Lord Jesus Christ and our sin debt paid in full. The work has been done on the cross and all you have to do is believe and accept Jesus Christ in your heart in faith, as your Lord and savior, ask to be forgiven of your sins, and to be saved.  If you do not accept Jesus Christ as your savior as the bible says, you will die in your sins in un-forgiveness and spend eternity in Hell. Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed once for man to die, and after this the judgment. Based on my own interpretation of being a good person at the time, I thought God would just let me into Heaven. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God; Ephesians 2:9 not of works; lest any man should boast. So no amount of your own good deeds and works will get you to Heaven apart from accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. You cannot earn your way into Heaven. John 14:6 Jesus said I’m the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by me. Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. So you must come to the cross of Jesus Christ and repent of your sins.  The bible says there is no other way to heaven apart from Jesus Christ no matter what other religions may tell you, or whoever you may hear it from. Satan the Devil, a fallen angel masquerades as an angel of light in telling people they will get to heaven if they are a certain religion, or by just continuing to live a life of sin and that God will just forgive them and let them into heaven. Religion is just a way of the Devil camouflaging the truth of God’s word which is that Jesus is the only way to heaven.  The Devil gets people to believe that these different religions are different ways to heaven, but it’s just leading them straight to Hell. Matthew 7:13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to eternal life, and only a few find it. So if the road you’re on is leading you away from Jesus Christ, then you’re on the road to destruction. If the road you’re on has led you to accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, then praise the Lord you’re on the narrow road to eternal life. It’s not until hearing and understanding the gospel of Jesus Christ that all people have been deceived by the Devil into thinking they are good enough to get into Heaven on their own good works. John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not belonging to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. At the time of listening to the gospel, the Holy Spirit of God convicts you of your sin, and makes you aware that you are in need of repentance and a savior. Once you understand you are a sinner through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and accept the truth of the gospel, the Holy Spirit then draws you to God to repent of your sins, and to receive forgiveness and eternal life. There is an urgency to accept Christ today as savior after you have heard the truth of the gospel by reading this paper. You never know the day or time when you’re going to die. When you die without Christ, it’s too late and you will stand before God at the Great White Throne judgment without excuse. There will be no second chances after death.

As God transformed my life, I started to begin to see some drastic and immediate changes in myself. Some of the changes that I saw and have seen over time are as follows: Reading the bible daily, praying daily, going to church every Sunday, listening to sermons, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others, much less anger, compassion, love, patience, giving, serving, no profanity, peace, joy, and happiness. All this I now obtain through Christ. It has made me a better father, husband, employee, friend, brother, and son. I could have never changed my life like that without God. God is the only one who has the power to transform a person through our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christianity isn’t a religion it’s a relationship with Jesus Christ. I’m so thankful that God found me and what he has done for me.  He can do the same for you if you will choose and allow him to.

You must sincerely and truly repent of your sins. God knows your heart. A person can accept Jesus Christ as savior with the following prayer: Jesus I believe you are the son of God. I believe you came into this world to die for my sins, the whole world’s sins, and that you were buried, and God resurrected you from the dead 3 days later for our salvation. Lord Jesus I believe and accept you in my heart in faith as my lord and savior. Please forgive me of all my sin’s and save me. I pray this in Jesus name Amen.
